On the first day of each year, the Newport Polar Bears Club extends a daring invitation to those with the courage to take a charitable plunge into the chilly waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. The swim raises funds for A Wish Come True, a noble charity dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of Rhode Island children battling life-threatening conditions.
