The 4th Annual King Park Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Monday, December 8th, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, with a rain date of Tuesday, December 9th at the same time. This gathering honors the memory of Willie Olechnowicz, who passed away unexpectedly on October 1st four years ago, and has become a heartfelt neighborhood tradition.
The tree is a true community effort, often referred to as the local “5 ward” tree, and everyone is invited to bring an ornament to add to the decorations. Notably, it is the only completely solar powered Christmas tree in Rhode Island, making this annual event both meaningful and uniquely sustainable.
