Jane Pickens Theater concludes its Made in Newport lineup on Sunday, Aug 3, with a 7:30 PM screening of Evening, the 2007 drama that first premiered at this venue. Tickets are $13 for members and $15 for non-members. The story follows Ann Grant Lord (Vanessa Redgrave) who, while near death, recalls her youthful romance with Harris Arden (Patrick Wilson) at a wedding on the Rhode Island coast. As Ann drifts between past and present, her daughters, played by Toni Collette and Natasha Richardson, struggle with her impending loss. The cast also features Claire Danes, Meryl Streep, Mamie Gummer, Hugh Dancy, and Glenn Close. Rated PG 13, the film runs 117 minutes.
