Jane Pickens Theater adds to its Made in Newport series on Tuesday, Aug 5, with a 7:30 PM showing of “Wind,” the 1992 sailing drama that runs 125 minutes and carries a PG-13 rating. Tickets cost $13 for members and $15 for non-members. Starring Matthew Modine, Jennifer Grey, and Cliff Robertson, the story follows an American crew’s bid to reclaim the America’s Cup with an experimental yacht designed by Stellan Skarsgård’s character. Before the film begins, local artist Alexi Sarah Widoff will be in the lobby offering nautical and Newport-themed prints and stickers.
