Third Coast Percussion brings its boundary-pushing artistry to The Breakers on July 10, 2025, celebrating two decades of genre-defying music. Beginning at 8:00 PM, ensemble members Sean Connors, Robert Dillon, Peter Martin, and David Skidmore draw on five albums that together earned four GRAMMY® nominations and one GRAMMY® Award, while also unveiling newly commissioned works marking the quartet’s 20th anniversary.
The evening’s program ranges from Danny Clay’s Playbook excerpts “Teeth” and “Bloom” to Third Coast Percussion’s own Niagara from Paddle to the Sea, alongside Clarice Assad’s The Hero, Steve Reich’s Music for Pieces of Wood, Philip Glass’s Metamorphosis, Jlin’s “Obscure” and “Please Be Still,” Jessie Montgomery’s Lady Justice, and Tigran Hamasyan’s Sonata for Percussion.
