The Newport Night Run, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, is a 5k race supporting the Newport Public Education Foundation. It is unique in Newport for being an after-hours road race. The race both starts and finishes at Rogers High School. Participants are encouraged to use headlamps, wear bright colors, and carry glow sticks to enhance visibility and safety during the event. This event highlights some of Aquidneck Island’s serene and well-maintained rural roads.
