On Wednesday, July 9th, a special evening program marks the centennial of The Great Gatsby with Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated actor Sam Waterston in conversation about the novel’s 1974 film adaptation. From 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Waterston—who portrayed narrator Nick Carraway—will discuss the production, which filmed scenes at Rosecliff, Marble House, and other Newport landmarks, with moderation by award-winning NBC journalist Anne Thompson. Two ticket tiers are offered: $250 per person for the lecture and reception or $400 for an enhanced experience that includes dinner along with the lecture and reception.
