The Sailing Museum invites families to participate in the “Make Your Own Burgee” activity held in the Mosbacher Room. Attendees will have access to a variety of crafting supplies to create personalized burgees representing themselves, their families, or their boats. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. Participants can also engage with interactive exhibits, learning about sailing history and notable figures in the sport.
The cost of the event includes all necessary materials for making a burgee. However, museum admission is charged separately, with Newport Winterfest wristband holders receiving a 15% discount on admission fees.
Event pricing is as follows: $15 without the Winterfest Band and $10 with it. The activity is scheduled for February 20th and 22nd, from 2pm to 4pm, at The Sailing Museum located at 365 Thames St., Newport, RI 02840.
